Again, another incredible day at Miramar Central School. It is an amazing thing to see how kids of all ages and abilities embrace this project. It has also been wonderful to see all the learning outcomes that I had in mind are being fulfilled. From talking about where Wellington’s recent crazy weather has come from, Antarctica, history, scientific research and explorers, geometry, landscapes, team work and problem solving, paper, light and of course art!
The kids are so effective at creating the large panels of “ice shelf” that I am worried we will run out of shapes! I am sure I can find some more in the studio though!
Tomorrow I will be able to announce the location of the actual exhibition that all of these workshops are contributing to, so please watch this space!
